Ann Conway is a proud native of New Mexico where she has been practicing law in the areas of lobbying and civil litigation since 1984. She learned to love the law, public service and local politics from her father who served as an early Albuquerque municipal judge, New Mexico Attorney General and state district court judge. She received her law degree from the Notre Dame Law School in 1984. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1978 (cum laude) and her M.A. from the university of Eastern New Mexico in 1980 (magna cum laude). She loves the unique culture and history of New Mexico and enjoys being outdoors to play golf, fly-fish and cycle.
Ms. Conway has represented legislative and regulatory clients before the New Mexico Legislature and before state and federal regulators throughout her professional career. The State Farm Insurance Companies and State Farm Bank have been her clients since 1989. Her other lobbying clients have included the New Mexico Gas Company, Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino, oil and gas trade associations, insurance trade associations, private water rights owners, property developers and community non-profit organizations. For the past 15 years she has lobbied on behalf of the Albuquerque Museum Foundation as part of its mission to support the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History.
In her civil litigation and business practice, Ms. Conway represents clients in the areas of fidelity and surety law, insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, employment law, construction, and mediation and arbitration. Ms. Conway has represented clients in direct actions, class actions and as Amicus Curie in state and federal courts.
