Pat Sheehan, 91, died peacefully in his sleep on August 27, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in 1918, Pat held a bachelor of science degree and a masters degree from the University of Utah, and was a graduate of the University of Utah College of Law. He was married to his beloved bride, Julianne Sheldon Sheehan, for fifty-seven years, and they had three daughters and a son together, who in turn blessed them with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat opened his own law firm in Albuquerque in 1954, and practiced primarily in the area of insurance defense. He served as the President of the American Board of Trial Advocates from 1970-1971. In 1974, Pat was joined in the practice by his son, Timothy M. Sheehan, and they practiced side-by-side at Sheehan & Sheehan, P.A. for many years. Pat also served for many years in the Air Force Reserves, attaining the rank of Brigadier General. Following his retirement from law practice, Pat and Julianne travelled extensively, visiting each of the 50 states, all of the provinces of Canada, the states of Mexico and all seven continents. Pat’s kindness and caring toward those he served, his dedication to high quality legal services, and his consummate professionalism, were hallmarks of his law practice. Those core values continue to inspire his colleagues at Sheehan & Sheehan, P.A. and are Pat’s enduring legacy.
